Fontenoy Rd.

November 29, 2009

These are just a random shot I took while my girlfriend and I were waiting 45 minutes for the bus at Macquarie Park, NSW. We found a small garden and my girlfriend started to play with the flowers. I just happened to carry my camera with me.  :D

Sydney trip

November 27, 2009

For those who have read our previous blog “Baffi & Mo”, we are still in Sydney at the moment, shooting for Hendra & Siska’s pre-wedding photos. We love Sydney! What a beautiful cosmopolitan city, yet you can always find a row of heritage buildings in every corner. Such an amazing blend of modern and classic element! There are many great place to shoot at, that’s why we ended up shooting in 9 different locations, mostly around the city area. We are still working on the pictures, meanwhile here are some “behind the scene” pictures we took with iPhone during the photo shoot. We will post some of the finished photos soon, so stay tuned! Our next stop in 24-hours time will be Adelaide. Looking forward to it!

:)

p.s. Thanks to Yenni, our make up artist who flew from Jakarta just for this occasion.

Kenny & Tammy’s Pre-Wedding

November 19, 2009

It was a thrill to shoot Kenny & Tammy’s Pre-wedding photos. This couple is special, Tammy is an amazing fashion photographer and Kenny works as an engineer for an international oil company in Africa, so most of the time Kenny will be out of town. Nevertheless distance doesn’t keep their hearts apart.

When they first came to me, one of their main request was to capture their love journey in a fun and casual way. So we revisited almost all the locations that are related to their actual significant moments during the courtship, e.g. where the first kiss took place, the Starbucks Kenny always visit, things that they do together, etc. It’s kinda like reminiscence of their real love story.

We had such a great time working with them. Tammy is a natural model, she knows how to work with camera beautifully. Kenny, on the other hand, is the opposite. He is a bit camera-shy, but Tammy never fails to cheer him up and help him to relax. You can tell from the picture, how they’re in love with each other and the chemistry between them is very real.

Our schedule for that day was packed, since we had to cover 5 different locations before the sky turned dark! Thanked God we managed to finish everything on time without any difficulties. So here are some of the shots we did, hope you enjoy it!

p.s. To Kenny and Tammy, congratulations for the wedding! hope everything goes well with the preparation :-)

Baffi & Mo

November 16, 2009

Yesterday, we went to shoot Siska and Hendra’s pre-wedding photos at Baffi & Mo, at Redferm Street, Sydney. We love.. LOVE the petite-yet-really cozy interior of the cafe, and the food are greaatt! No wonder it is listed as #3 Sydney’s Best Breakfast by Time Out Magazine. Well, not only breakie, we think it’s also great for lunch.

Another great thing about Baffi & Mo, is the friendly and very helpful staffs. They even provided us a FREE coffee and muffin for the photoshoot. We wanted to thank them for the amazing dining experience so we took some shots of them with the cafe’s icon, mustache (which is called mo in Italian). We will definitely come back!!

:)

Princess-to-be

November 14, 2009

Last week we went to shoot Shine’s maternity in her place. Shine currently is 8 months pregnant of a baby girl, so you can see her tummy has grown so big. Amazingly, Shine doesn’t gain that much. in fact if you cover her tummy, you won’t even realize that she is pregnant! Joshua, her husband, is a very caring and gentle man. During the photo shoot he kept caressing Shine’s tummy, I guess he can’t wait to see his pretty baby girl born.

We wanted to try something different than other maternity photos, so we asked our good friend, a very talented young artist, Eudora Rusli, to help us draw an illustration of a baby girl. So here’s the final photo, I hope they like how it turns out.

Pattie and Amz (Part I)

November 7, 2009

This weekend we went to shoot Pattie and her lovely daughter, Amz, at the playground near their house. It is the place where Pattie always bring Amz to play with the neighborhood kids, so we thought that could be the best location to capture their quality time. And it works! they seemed to enjoy themselves, even without much directions. Stay tuned while I’m working on the Part II

Witch from the east

November 6, 2009

After Halloween party, we took a couple of shots of Clarissa dressed as the Witch from the East (since we’re living at the East of Singapore). She did the scary make up herself, kudos to her! She even painted her face green! While I feel quite bad for keeping Clarissa until 2 a.m in the morning, I hope she likes how the photos turn out.
